About Monique Rae Bennett…

Monique Rae Bennett grew up in Kenora, Ontario.  She attended Beaver Brae High School and graduated in 1984 as an Ontario Scholar.  Monique graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1987 with a Bachelor of Social Science with a double major in Psychology and Sociology.  Monique attended the Universite de Cote d’Azur in Cannes, France, summer program in 1987 and returned to Canada to attend law school at the University of Windsor graduating with a LLB in 1990.  Monique articled  in Windsor.  After completion of her articles she attended Santa Clara University for the summer of 1991 to study the California Bar exam.  Monique returned to Canada to complete her bar exams and was called to the Ontario Bar with the Law Society of Upper Canada in February 1992.  Monique practiced litigation with Nicholson Smith for 10 years before starting her own law firm on October 31, 2001.  Monique has been a sole practitioner for over 20 years and has presented cases all over Ontario including the Ontario Court of Appeal, arbitrations, and represented clients in Ontario from Quebec, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon, Texas, Florida, California and Kentucky. Monique is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Middlesex Law Association and the Middlesex Family Law Association.
